Position Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and general repairs on automated material handling systems and facility equipment in a 1-million-square-foot distribution center. This position helps ensure operational efficiency, safety, and minimal downtime in the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on conveyors, sorters, shuttles, and related automated systems.

• Troubleshoot and respond to facility-related issues including conveyor jams and shutdowns.

• Complete building maintenance tasks, including repairs on cranes, welding equipment, presses, and other industrial equipment.

• Maintain powered industrial equipment (PIE), picking carts, and batteries.

• Operate and troubleshoot all automated material handling equipment.

• Document maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software).

• Assist in complex repair projects and support Operations Department initiatives.

• Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams for efficient facility support.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in facility or equipment maintenance.

• Familiarity with CMMS and Microsoft Office programs.

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and pneumatic systems.

• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, electrical multi-meters, and welding equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing schematics.

• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

• Physically able to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently, and occasionally up to 75 lbs.

Schedule:

• Shift: Monday – Thursday

• Hours: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (4x10 schedule)
