Grainger is hiring for Account Manager, Manufacturing
As an Account Manager in the Manufacturing sector at Grainger, you will drive sales growth within a designated geography or vertical market. You will manage an average of 30-35 current accounts, with annual sales ranging from $2 to $3.5 million. Your role will involve utilizing Grainger's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce, to manage business operations and report to the District Sales Manager of Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Management:
- Understand and respond to customer goals and evolving needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
- Conduct regular business reviews with essential customers to maximize sales.
Sales and Strategy:
- Use market data and resources to respond to customer business developments.
- Implement account penetration strategies to drive profitable sales growth.
- Provide solutions based on Grainger’s Value Proposition to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance.
Inventory and Support:
- Oversee managed inventory tasks to improve understanding of customer needs.
- Increase engagement with customer groups to boost sales results.
Sales Process:
- Utilize sales forecasting and opportunity management to plan and execute strategies.
- Address customer objections and concerns with effective solutions.
Travel and Reporting:
- Travel to each customer within the aligned market at least once per month or as needed.
- Report on sales activities and outcomes to the District Sales Manager.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of direct outside sales experience.
- Proven ability in sales forecasting, opportunity management, and customer planning.
Skills:
- Strong process discipline and alignment of planning goals with pipeline development.
- Ability to utilize sales processes to uncover and address customer concerns.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED required.
